Beautiful Hinton West Virginia

I love my hometown! Hinton is located where three rivers come together in Summers County, West Virginia. Now how often does THREE rivers meet? It's a historic town and very small. We have many advantages that others do not have. Beautiful surroundings, good schools, and when you walk down the street, you recognize people and you are recognized as well! The mountains and rivers are magnificant. One disadvantage comes to mind....limited places to eat. The Dairy Queen in Hinton has the greatest hot dogs in the world. You can actually become a member of the "I ate at the Hinton Dairy Queen" group. We even have a Subway, which is very good too! But today I ate lunch at the New River Barbecue". The food was good, many selections to choose from, but the surroundings were awesome today! The building is new and is surrounded by HUGE windows. I wish you could have seen the view! The sky is clear and so very blue! Oh, the river....the New River was so clear, it seemed you could see every fish that was swimming in it. The ducks were out in large numbers and the geese were taking turns swimming...and...landing, swimming...and landing. The river must have been supplying some pretty good eats for them too! No one minded that it was 20 degrees out. I wish that you could have been there with me!
